About Me
As a professional portrait photographer, my first priority is to create a stress-free experience that you’ll enjoy as much as the photos you’ll treasure.
As a husband and father of two young adults, I would describe myself as a calm, quiet guy who loves to learn. I have a passion for music, photography, woodworking and generally anything that involves creativity. I've been to Mozambique on two mission trips through my church. One for helping to train teachers and once to build a house for orphans. I loved interacting with those orphans. They have such a joy for life!
I discovered my passion for photography almost eight years ago when my daughter, an artist in her own right, let me use her camera. Once I realized that I have the talent to create incredible photos, I became passionate about learning the skills to become an expert to capture what I envisioned.
As an instrumental music teacher for over 30 years, I understand the challenge to learning something new and what it would take to accomplish my goals. Practice! Practice! Practice! As a lifelong learner, this was the easy part! Through my years of teaching making a connection with the student is one of the most important aspects of teaching. Finding new ways to connect with my clients or students has been a strength of mine in both music and photography.
When you are able to relax, we get genuine and natural expressions that allow the true personality to shine through. I love to see their beauty in their portraits and find myself enjoying their session as much as you will.
